If you’ve lived in Oakmont for a while, you might know that Gainesville’s first Amazon delivery station came online near the end of 2018. It’s located at Airport Industrial Park on the city’s east side.

The new delivery station will be located at 2121 Northwest 67th Place, off Northwest 22nd Street, on Gainesville’s north side. Amazon officials hope to open it by the end of 2020.

Curious how the process works? Amazon packages ordered by customers arrive at delivery stations from the company’s warehouses. As of this writing, there are seven Amazon warehouses in Florida. Those in Jacksonville, Lakeland and Ocala are closest to Gainesville.

Amazon offers several different job opportunities
